Dell released world's thinnest laptop

Dell officially launched the Adamo XPS, the highest-end version of its designer ultra portable. Dell says it expects to “begin taking orders and shipping the Adamo XPS in time for the holidays.” The ultra thin luxury laptop starts at $1,799.

The system is championed as the thinnest notebook ever and measures just 0.39 inches at its thickest point. Dell accomplishes the feat by tucking most of the computer components into the display section and relying on a unique hinge that opens underneath and acts as a built-in prop . In spite of its slimness, the notebook still has a removable battery, two USB ports and DisplayPort output but also weighs slightly more than its MacBook Air rival at 3.2 pounds.

When fully opened, the keyboard sits at maybe a 20-degree angle. It’s an unusual setup, but one that provides a more ergonomic typing experience than the average flat laptop keyboard. We also liked the keyboard’s metal keys and the reasonably large touchpad.

GO: Google Launches Its Own Programming Language

One of the core philosophies of Google, and one of the reasons it has been so successful, is efficiency. It’s about both being as efficient as possible when serving search results and processing data and creating product that push the limits of efficiency for the user (as an example, Google’s trying to make communication more efficient with Google Wave).

Maybe that’s why we’re not surprised that Google is finally looking to tackle the underpinning code that runs the web. Today the search giant released Go, an open-source development language that Google believes will combine performance with speed, and one that the company probably hopes will reshape the development and software industries in its favor.

Go is based on the C programming family, one of the most widely used programming language trees in the world. However, the twist is that incorporates elements of Python (a preferred development language within Google) and the Pascal/Modula/Oberon family to make faster and more dynamic programs.

Why Did Google Make Its Own Language?

In its Go FAQ, Google explains the main motivations behind the project:

“No major systems language has emerged in over a decade, but over that time the computing landscape has changed tremendously. There are several trends:
- Computers are enormously quicker but software development is not faster.
- Dependency management is a big part of software development today but the “header files” of languages in the C tradition are antithetical to clean dependency analysis—and fast compilation.
- There is a growing rebellion against cumbersome type systems like those of Java and C++, pushing people towards dynamically typed languages such as Python and JavaScript.
- Some fundamental concepts such as garbage collection and parallel computation are not well supported by popular systems languages.
- The emergence of multicore computers has generated worry and confusion.”

Summary: Google believes that the web and computing have changed dramatically in the last ten years, but the languages powering that computing have not. But when you get down to it, Google could benefit a great deal from not only having a more efficient programming language, but having one it designed being used in thousands web and software apps.

Before you Begin...
We've all seen them on the road, bucking and stalling while learning how to drive stick. This guide was designed to take some of the pain and embarrassment out of the process. However, it is no replacement for having a competent standard shifter sitting beside you who doesn't mind you wearing the clutch on his or her car just a little bit.

Knowing how to drive a car before tackling the art of operating a manual transmission is a highly recommended, but not required, idea. Having to worry about shifting and what your left foot is doing is distracting enough, being uncomfortable behind the wheel no matter what transmission the car has makes it even worse. The area where you first practice should be flat, free of obstructions and obviously have no vehicular or pedestrian traffic.

Sitting in the Car
When seated in the vehicle, make sure you are sitting close enough to push the clutch, the leftmost pedal, all the way to the floor. The gear shift should be within easy reach as well. Take time to familiarize yourself with the shift pattern before you need to keep your eyes on the road. The typical domestic and Japanese manual shift pattern has five forward speeds arranged in an H pattern, with 5th being alone off to the right and up, with reverse being to the farthest right and down. A six speed would be similar except for the addition of the 6th gear directly below 5th. Some European cars have reverse down or up to the left, with a shift lock-out consisting of pulling up on the shift boot before being able to get into it. Neutral is in the middle when you can wiggle the gearshift back and forth. Similar to the N on an automatic, it disengages the engine from the wheels allowing you to rev the engine freely and the car to roll if it is on a hill.

Starting the Car
Once you are in a comfortable seating position and are familiar with the location of the clutch and shift pattern, double-check to make sure the parking brake (lever just to the right of the driver's seat) is set and put the car into neutral by pushing down the clutch and putting the stick into neutral . You will be able to move the gearshift back in forth through its whole horizontal movement while you are in neutral, something you can notice in a couple of fairly recent VW commercials.

Push the clutch to the floor again, and start the car. Even though the engine will run in neutral, modern cars have a lockout disabling the ability to start the car unless the clutch is fully depressed. Once the car is started, let the clutch up slowly, just to make sure the car really isn't in gear.

Being on a flat surface, you can go ahead and release the parking brake at this point; there's no need to have your right foot on the brake like you normally would on the road. Now the fun begins, and opinions diverge!

Get Moving!
The method that has been most successful here at Standardshift has been the no-gas method. Not using the gas pedal at all while engaging the clutch in first gear seems to help people clue in more quickly to the friction point of the clutch, the all important point in which most of the engine power goes from idling freely to transferring through the transmission and then to the wheels. This varies from car to car. The friction point can be felt with the car starts moving, and engine RPMs drop usually along with the noise of the engine. This is also the point that many beginners let the clutch out too quickly, resulting in the engine lugging and the car bucking. Don't worry, at such a slow speed, no serious damage will occur to the car, just a nick to your pride.

Congratulations! You just did the toughest part of driving a manual, starting from a standing stop!

Practice this a few times until you can smoothly get the car moving without the car lugging and without touching the gas pedal.

Going Faster...
The next step is to add the gas pedal to the equation, allowing you to start from a stop at a normal rate of speed. Doing the same thing as you did before with your left foot on the clutch, when you start reaching the friction point, gently apply some gas will allow you to release the clutch more quickly until it is fully engaged. The faster you apply the gas, the faster you can release the clutch. To switch out of 1st into 2nd and to any higher gear, just hit the clutch and get smoothly on the gas as you release the clutch. You can let out the clutch very quickly in comparison to first gear, since the wheels are moving already. As for when to shift, most if not all car manuals give the recommended shift points. Most cars also have tachometers, revving within one thousand RPM to the redline and then quickly shifting into the next gear usually garners the best performance, while the best economy can be had by shifting at 3K RPM or 15 mph per gear. Best bet is to ask the individual helping you or asking others who drive the particular type of car in person or online as to what works best with your particular vehicle.

Parking Brake
A habit that one needs to get used to is always to set the parking brake when parking, especially on hills. Unlike automatics, there is no locked parking position with a manual transmission, only the internal friction of the non-running motor. Make sure you set the parking brake first and let up on the brakes to make sure it is engaged fully, then leave the gearshift in reverse or 1st.

Downshifting
You'll want to downshift when heading down a steep slope to reduce riding the brakes or when greater acceleration is needed. Downshifting is much like upshifting: off the gas, press the clutch and move to a lower gear and get back on the gas as you let out the clutch. Getting back on the gas quickly is important since downshifting and not touching the gas will slow the car down as the engine compression fights the turning of the wheels ,which is what you want while going down a hill but not when you need to pass somebody. If you are already revving high in your current gear, downshifting may spin the motor beyond its rev limit, and you might throw belts or worse, throw a rod or valve which means it would be time for a major overhaul or engine replacement.

Stopping
Downshifting without touching the brakes to stop is not recommended, the person behind you babbling on the phone might not notice you without your brake lights on, especially at night. You can stay in your current gear down to around 5-15 mph quite easily; at that point, put the car in neutral and use the brakes to come to a complete stop or you can downshift and apply the brakes as well. Downshifting into first is not recommended. For safety reasons, you shouldn't keep the gar in gear while waiting at a light. If a car hits you from behind, you foot will be off the clutch, which means your car would jump forward and possibly end up in the middle of an intersection.

Starting on a Hill
If there's one thing other than stalling the car in the middle of traffic that scares a newbie, it's starting from a stop on a hill. Make sure you are comfortable with flat terrain before attempting an incline, and it is best to start with a minimal slope that will allow the car to roll backwards slowly if in neutral. The key to learning how to start on a hill is the parking brake. It will allow you to remain in place and not roll backwards while you practice reaching the friction point quickly. And quickly is the key for starting on a hill to prevent rolling backwards. With the parking brake fully set, practice quickly releasing the clutch until the friction point is reached and then back off. Next, quickly reach the friction point and then partially release the parking brake as you give the car gas and release the clutch some more. The idea is to give the car just enough power to overcome the brake and gravity, which will allow you start smoothly without rolling back. As you get better, you will be able to reduce the amount and time that the parking brake is set, until you won't need it at all.

Advanced Techniques:

Double-Clutching
Truck transmissions don't have synchromesh gears which allow you to shift even if the input and output shafts are rotating at a different speed. For a truck, you need to match speed with what the engine and wheels are doing. Shifting for truckers is a two-step process. Hit the clutch and put the transmission in neutral. You then quickly tap the accelerator to match engine revs with what the wheels are doing, hit the clutch and put it in gear. You can use this method to see how smoothly you are shifting normally, and helps you learn how to rev match. The benefits of rev matching include smoother transitions between gears, especially on downshifts as well as reducing the wear and tear on the synchromesh gears themselves.

Heel-and-toe
Heel-and-toe: One of the great advantages of a manual is that you can anticipate a corner or hill and shift into the correct gear before slowing down or hitting the gas. In racing conditions, this happens very quickly, along with the need to brake hard and getting back on the gas very quickly. So quickly in fact, the sequence of pushing the clutch, shifting to a lower gear, braking, then getting back on the gas as you release the clutch is impossible. Even if you could, the weight transfer forward while quickly downshifting would probably upset the balance of the car. This is where heel-and-toeing comes it. It means that while you are braking you need to operate the clutch and the gas to rev match as you downshift, resulting in a smooth transition that doesn't unsettle the car and provides the right gear for acceleration out of the corner. Three pedals and two feet, hmmm... The way it is done is the left foot is used for the clutch, while the right foot spans both the brake and gas pedal, classically with toe on the brake and heel on the gas. This technique requires quite a bit of experience, and practicing how to double-clutch first would help.

5 Ways Social Media is Changing Our Daily Lives

It is hard to know sometimes how our life has changed until we stop for a moment and look at how different it is from ten or even five years ago. In recent years social media, likely more than anything else, has significantly impacted most of our daily lives. Envisioning the global conversation that has developed over the past few years because of tools like Facebook and Twitter might have been unimaginable for most people at the beginning of this decade.

But social media communication tools have profoundly changed our lives and how we interact with one another and the world around us. Here are the top areas that social media has affected in our daily lives.

1. Where We Get Our News

If you’re like me, each morning before checking Yahoo! or Google News or an online newspaper site like USA Today or CNN, you first look at the stories your friends and people that you follow are sharing via Twitter or Facebook. After all, you didn’t choose the editors at newspapers and other publications, but you did choose the people and groups that you follow on Twitter, Facebook, or other social networks.

Friends on social media are increasingly becoming people’s trusted sources of information, even more than search engines. Tech blogger Mark Cuban recently noted, “For the 1st time ever, more people are finding my blog from Twitter and Facebook referrals than via Google.”

Of course, many people still use RSS feeds to stay up-to-date on blogs and publications of interest, but our list of sources for what is worthy of our attention has expanded significantly. Furthermore, by getting our news from social media, we know who is recommending it, and can easily communicate with that person about it. News is more social than ever.

2. How We Start and Do Business

It is easier than ever to start and launch a business today, in great part thanks to social media. We can not only locate potential collaborators and employees through interest-focused Facebook groups, Twitter searches, and niche social networks, but perhaps more importantly, social media gives people who have time, but little money for advertising, the chance to engage with others and promote their business. A recent article in the New York Times concluded, “For many mom-and-pop shops with no ad budget, Twitter has become their sole means of marketing.”

While business in the past was generally conducted with those in one’s immediate environment, social media, including everything from blogging to tweeting to posting videos on YouTube, has opened new possibilities for both customers and clients. Who we do business with and how we promote that business has moved increasingly online, and for small business especially, social media has proved valuable.

3. How We Meet and Stay in Touch with People

People certainly still meet others at social venues like clubs and parties, but it is easier than ever to discover people who share our interests through social media, whether that means via groups on Facebook or following people on Twitter. Even if your interests lie in an obscure area, like 15th century poetry in France or Nepalese art, there is probably a Facebook group about it, and a Twitter search will likely turn up other people talking about the same subject.

Of course, there is only so much communication that can happen through a social network, but viaTweetups and other in-person events, people are expanding these online interactions to face-to-face meetings. The introductions are initially made through social networks, then people develop the relationship using phone calls and in-person meetings.

Studies reveal that our time on social networks has nearly tripled in the last year, and while Facebook has always primarily centered around connecting with people and staying in touch with friends, according to a study on eMarketer, “41.6% percent of Internet users who used Twitter did so to keep in touch with their friends.”

In other words, social media is increasingly being used to find and maintain both old and potentially new friendships.

4. What We Reveal

The old paradigm in communication was that people generally revealed very little of their fears and doubts. They tried to present the image of themselves to other people as completely confident and knowledgeable. The goal was to make sure that you appeared like you were always in complete control. But this is shifting, in part, because of social media. The paradigm is now no longer to try to appear perfect, but to be more transparent with your thoughts and feelings, to reveal your humanness.

We now have queens acknowledging that they get nervous at times when speaking, CEOs being more honest and at times using blogs to express reservations over past decisions, and people openly sharing personal views on social issues. Of course, what we decide to reveal and when to reveal it can be delicate, and there will always likely be items we wish to keep private. However, rather than working to hide our thoughts and feelings, social media is helping to create greater personal transparency.

5. What We Can Influence

It used to be a big deal that Oprah had over 20 million people watch her show every week or that the New York Times was read by millions of people, and while these large media outlets still control much of our attention, now with social media, power is increasingly more widespread. So-called mainstream media is no longer always the driving influencer of public opinion.

On Twitter, some individuals now have a million or more followers, Facebook Pages can also have hundreds of thousands of fans, and YouTube videos can get millions of views when they go viral. Most of this content is coming from regular people, rather than big, corporate-owned media organizations. For example, people like occasional Mashable guest writer Brandon Mendelson, who has over950,000 followers on Twitter, have used social media to increase their influence beyond what was possible for “regular people” in the past.

Even if we have few followers on Twitter or friends on Facebook or subscribers to our blog, the average person’s influence is increasing as communication channels become more open and fluid. As the networks for sharing and amplifying information strengthen, the ability of each person to influence public opinion and policies increases. As a result, we feel much less like passive bystanders and much more like participants who have a voice in the events in our world.

Conclusion

In every era, cultures go through numerous changes, and in recent years ours has been more impacted than anything else by social media. Large media companies are not likely to go away overnight, nor will the need to communicate by phone or meet people in person, but social media is providing yet one more means of engaging with people on this vast planet of ours, and if used effectively can give all of us greater choice in how we live and what happens in our world.

None of us think one day that there are Creatures like that but when i was doing my

daily search i found it :) .

Some Indonesian, Japanese researchers have discovered another coelacanth, an ancient fish once thought to have become extinct, in Indonesian waters.

But the big surprise is the fish is still alive and freely swims in its habitat at a

depth of 155 meters off North Sulawesi Island.

Within each one of us there is a warrior waiting to be unleashed, most of us get the same idea when we say the word warrior, it became a popular commodity representing famous action figures and wide screen heroes but, we never think about what that specific word means and the idea that could change our lives radically, the idea that we are all nothing less than warriors.
We grew up on tales of heroes and great leaders who gave every thing including their own lives for a great cause, some of us witnessed war, death, fear, courage and epics, some of us are heroes by the common meaning of the word, army men, police men, front line soldiers or extraordinary people who did magnificent deeds.
We all appreciate and admire those warriors who fought for what they believed in and didn't back up and never surrendered, the ones we hope our children would be as great or even close in a way or another but, that doesn't mean that a warrior's place can only be a warfare battlefield, in fact we are all warriors and we all have our battlefields, doctors and scientists fight diseases every single day, teachers and professors fight ignorance every single day and many examples that tends to infinity.
I believe that you don't have to be a soldier, a teacher, a doctor, or a politician to be a warrior, deep inside every one there is a warrior fighting every day, the battlefields may vary but, still they are all battlefields.

Affiliate network marketing offers online retailers an effective, performance-based advertising channel with good conversion rates and a propensity to boosts sales. Like many affiliate programs, the Google Affiliate Network connects merchants with a network of website publishers.

Affiliate publishers place text or banner advertising on their site. If a would-be customer (1) clicks on one of these ads, (2) visits the merchant's site, and (3) makes a purchase, the merchant pays the affiliate (who sent the customer) a percentage of the sale. No money changes hands unless the merchant closes the sale. So, most merchants can easily afford to be part of an affiliate program.

The Google Affiliate Network makes this connection easy by providing an effective interface (which is similar to the Google AdWords interface) that will help merchants improve their sales. But the service requires a relatively large upfront fee (discussed below) and Google is particular about the sorts of merchants it will accept, preferring those with large sales volume. If only the Google Affiliate Network had taken the same egalitarian and pay-as-you-go approach that has made AdWords successful, it would be nearly perfect. As it provides a lot of value to its customers, however, I am awarding the Google Affiliate Network four out of a possible five stars

An Affiliate Model, Google's Way

In 2008, Google made a $3.1 billion investment in affiliate marketing and advertising service when it purchased DoubleClick, one of the early pioneers in advertising measurement services, ad serving, and affiliate marketing.

"With DoubleClick, Google now has the leading display ad platform, which will enable us to rapidly bring to market advances in technology and infrastructure that will dramatically improve the effectiveness, measurability and performance of digital media for publishers, advertisers and agencies, while improving the relevance of advertising for users," said Google Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Eric Schmidt, when the deal was consummated.

Google was quick to integrate the service, and by July 2008 had rebranded the service, introduced an improved interface, and used its impressive AdSense network to find excellent affiliate publishers. For me, Google's best value proposition is its familiarity with pay-per-click advertising. It is assumed that if Google applies its considerable AdSense experience to identifying and recruiting affiliates, it can offer online retailers almost unmatched access to targeted sites and therefore to potential customers.

While Google does not disclose average conversion rates for the program, a spokesperson told me that because "affiliate publishers tend to be focused on consumers who are in the shopping mode," conversion rates tend to be better than other digital advertising channels. And remember, there is no cost (other than a set up fee) to merchants unless they make a sale.

A Selective Approval Process

Google requires merchants to apply to the Affiliate Network, asking for annual sales estimates and average order size. Perhaps as an indication of its propensity for selecting large-volume retailers, Google lumps $0-to-$500,000 in annual online sales together as its lowest annual sales category, and offers additional categories up to more than $50 million in annual online sales. To be considered for approval, merchants must first be interviewed by a Google representative.

The selective approval process is designed to protect the affiliate publishers. In order to get its ads on the best possible websites, Google is careful to offer only quality products from quality merchants.

$1,000 Service Fee, Deposits, and Monthly Minimums Make Google Affiliate Networks Expensive

Once an ecommerce merchant is approved for the service, that merchant will have to pay a nonrefundable $1,000 fee to set up an account. The merchant must also make an initial deposit of $1,000 to cover forthcoming affiliate fees, the payments made to publishers when they provide click-throughs that result in paying customers.

Thus, joining the Google Affiliate Network will cost a merchant at least $2,000 up front, and $1,000 of that does not apply to generating sales. Once the merchant is up and running there is a $500 per month minimum, so it becomes very important to help affiliate publishers succeed, providing them with good offers, great creative copy, and any additional help possible. While I consider these initial costs a bit of a burden, they are competitive with other affiliate services.

Summing Up

The Google Affiliate Network offers online stores access to thousands of excellent web publishers on a pay-for-performance basis that can be very cost effective. But, the service is primarily aimed at higher revenue online stores and requires a $2,000 initial outlay. Although I would have preferred it if Google offered a self-service, pay-as-you-go option for smaller merchants, the Google Affiliate Network is still well worth four out of five stars in this The PeC Review.

ImHalal.com has been designed to “help Muslims explore the internet in a safe and clean environment”, according to Reza Sardeha, the 20-year-old business management student who runs it.

Mr Sardeha, who is based in Amsterdam, told The Times: “We already have received quite a number of positive feedback from Non-Muslims saying they have set ImHalal.com as their homepage so that their children can explore the internet without coming across ‘filth’ as well.”

The site works by assigning the search terms that are plugged in by users a “haraam level”, which indicates the likelihood of the results they bring up touching upon things forbidden under Islam

If a term is deemed completely safe, the results pop up immediately.

By contrast, tapping in the search term “pig”, an animal that Muslims are not allowed to eat, prompts a warning that the word has been assigned a “haraam level” of “1″, and the user is alerted that the results may be offensive. The user is then given the choice of viewing the results regardless, or of abandoning his search.

The Satanic Verses, the Salman Rushdie novel that led to a fatwa being put on the author’s head, gets a haraam rating of two – suggesting there is a higher chance of running into dangerous content.

“Pornography” triggers a haraam rating of three – the highest score, which indicates the highest likelihood of finding forbidden material.

Mr Sardeha said: “We hope that in about one year time our search engine will be the most used search engine in the Middle East to start with and in the top three most used search engine in the world.”

Police stopped Britain’s youngest car criminal in the act today – a three-year-old wanting to take his mother’s car for a spin.

Neighbours heard someone attempting to start a car in the early hours of this morning and immediately thought it was a criminal trying his luck.

But when they looked out of the window they were shocked to see that the person sat in the driver’s seat of the Peugeot 106 was actually a three-year-old boy.

Fox Hooper who suffers from Asperger’s disease, a form of autism which can result in obsessional behaviour in children, had been playing with his mother until 3am and when she fell asleep he took the car keys and sneaked out of the locked house.

He unlocked two doors in the house and the car door before starting the engine and revving it wildly.

When police arrived he told them he had wanted to check the petrol.

His mother Julie, of New Milton, Hampshire said: “We had been playing on my bed until 3am, I must have dropped off to sleep. He somehow managed to unlock three doors to get into the car and start revving the engine.

“Fox suffers from Asperger’s, which causes problems with social interaction, body language can be misinterpreted, children get obsessions and they like routines.

“People do not understand this disease and I would like to say that children with this do need more support from others. Fox is very intelligent in other ways but he does have this disability.

“I know the situation could have been different, especially if he had reversed the car down the drive.”

Hampshire Police said they were called to the terrace house in the New Forest, at 3.30am and gave the child a quick telling-off before tucking him up in bed.

Inspector Alan Birtwistle, of Hampshire police said: “This three-year-old obviously fancied going for an outing in the car but did not have anyone’s permission so we gave him suitable advice and tucked him back up in bed.”

He did say that the breakthrough came when a male dolphin at a marine research facility “grew close to one of my assistants and established a telepathic link that enabled it to put thoughts into her head.

“Full understanding of their thoughts and feelings came in fits and starts but we now seem to be on a common verbal ground,” said Hsu.

“The dolphins have made it clear that their ancestors came here 100,000 years ago to escape pollution on their home planet.

“But their starships – as well as the technological know-how that allowed them to save themselves – have long since vanished. Ironically, the pollution that drove them here so many years ago is now threatening their existence once again.

“As our own oceans become more and more polluted, dolphins kills are being reported around the world.

Events forced itself to come up .

Unfortunately my first blog post will be about swine flu .

It’s really a threat to the existence of humanity nowadays ..lot’s are infected and others died …the situation is going bad and bad .

Although the name ’swine flu’ brings up a lot of extra fear and worry, it is important to note that swine flu is just an influenza A H1N1 virus.

So it’s our job now to stop the rapid spread if this curse.

Swine flu is a Type A influenza virus which causes regular outbreaks of flu between humans.

Symptoms of Swine Flu

The symptoms of swine flu are usually like those of regular seasonal flu and include:

headache
chills
cough
fever
loss of appetite
aches
fatigue
runny nose
sneezing
watery eyes
throat irritation
nausea and vomiting
diarrhea
in people with chronic conditions, pneumonia may develop

Precautions Against Swine Flu

Good standard flu prevention techniques are recommended to protect yourself against swine flu:

Stay home whenever possible. Ask your support team to get groceries, walk your dog, bring work home from the office, or whatever else you can delegate.

If you develop a fever of 100.5F or higher, call your doctor right away (day or night) and start drinking plenty of fluids. Stay well hydrated and get a diagnosis and treatment for whatever is causing your fever.

If you cough or sneeze, cover your nose and mouth with a tissue and then toss it out. No tissues handy? Turn your face into the crook of your elbow, to keep germs from flying away.

Wash your hands often with soap and water or alcohol sanitizer – this will kill most germs.

Avoid people who have a fever, cough, or sneezing, or complain of any flu-like symptoms

If you feel like you are developing flu symptoms, don’t wait to see if it will just go away. Call your doctor or nurse practitioner and ask for advice or an appointment.

In our lives we witness sorrow and joy sadness and depression ups and downs, we witness a new tragedy unfold in front of our eyes every single moment, but what do we do? How would we act?

Is it so hard to take a stand and do your part? I don't think so. In fact there are a lot of people who gave their lives helping the needy, the poor and the sick, man or woman, elder or infant.

Some how there always seem to be a way out, like it was already written and meant to be. Some how God created those people to be the saviors of those who need to be saved, never the less that will never be enough, those who need your help can't depend on the very few that made their stand.

All of us need to speak to ourselves to the inner good that we were basically born with, the kind of instincts that drives us towards doing what we were meant to do, our purpose in life which is:

"Standing up for each other"

We can take it step by step until we can do our part, until each and every one of us can get the satisfaction of sleeping at night knowing that he did something good, that he supplied a need or even drew a smile on a child's face.

Step 1:

The first thing you need to do is to look at the mirror thoroughly and think: "What do I have that I can give up? When can I spare some time for the cause? Am I really committed of it's just a fling?

You will have to break your limits and get out of your shell.

Step 2:

Ask your questions, get your answers and switch from looking at yourself to looking around you, see things with new eyes, look deep into your surroundings, I assure you that you will definitely find someone who needs your help, the old neighbor, the little kid, the homeless guy or even your own family a near or distant relative.

Step 3:

Choose the best way you can be of help depending on your expertise and skills and give it your best shot. Start with something small, something you can commit to and perform on regular bases, but nothing big for starters.

Step 4:

Like we mentioned before the key word to this thing is commitment, you don't want to fail someone depending on you, so I say hold your horses and don't involve yourself in something you can't handle as it is a huge responsibility, now hold on I didn't mean to scare you away, on the contrary I am warning you because I know the overwhelming warm satisfying feelings you will get after doing your first good deed, the feelings that will drive you to make others an others and that's in fact the goal we seek to achieve, but it must be taken step by step; for you not lose your commitment.

Step 5:

Now that you took your stand and made it clear that every body must do his part, you need to ask other people to join your case and you need to spread the word, the life style we seek and our own utopia that many have dreamed of over the ages, the one we have a chance to create and live in.

We need to be their for each other, so start doing it

Background

Economy
Occupying the northeast corner of the African continent, Egypt is bisected by the highly fertile Nile valley, where most economic activity takes place. Egypt's economy was highly centralized during the rule of former President Gamal Abdel NASSER but has opened up considerably under former President Anwar EL-SADAT and current President Mohamed Hosni MUBARAK. Cairo has aggressively pursued economic reforms to encourage inflows of foreign investment and facilitate GDP growth. In 2005, Prime Minister Ahmed NAZIF's government reduced personal and corporate tax rates, reduced energy subsidies, and privatized several enterprises. The stock market boomed, and GDP grew about 7% each year since 2006. Despite these achievements, the government has failed to raise living standards for the average Egyptian, and has had to continue providing subsidies for basic necessities. The subsidies have contributed to a sizeable budget deficit - roughly 7% of GDP in 2007-08 - and represent a significant drain on the economy. Foreign direct investment has increased significantly in the past two years, but the NAZIF government will need to continue its aggressive pursuit of reforms in order to sustain the spike in investment and growth and begin to improve economic conditions for the broader population.
